IxRS Project Manager

The role of an IxRS (Interactive Voice / Web Recognition System) or IRT (Interactive Response Technology) Project Manager entails specifying and/or building, providing and/or supporting clinical trial specific systems to manage the clinical supplies to clinical study investigational sites. The IxRS system can also be used to managing the randomisation processes in blind and double-blind clinical studies.

Clinical IxRS or IRT systems can be accessed via the telephone network or the web from anywhere and operate in multiple languages to enable access by non-English speaking Project Managers and other users who may not have access to the system by a dedicated computer terminal.  It is a very customisable system which enables users to proactively manage the key aspects of their clinical trials including enrolment, randomisation, dosing, drug dispensation, clinical supplies and drug inventory management. The Project Manager would work closely with key stakeholders including Study Managers to tailor the system to meet the specific needs of each phase of the clinical trial in keeping with the clinical study protocol.  This could involve leading IxRS project sub-teams, project coordinating all aspects of specification, development, user acceptance testing, implementation and training.

Similar job titles include IVRS Project Manager, IWRS Project Manager and IRT Project Manager.
