In the latest Skills Demand Survey Report from Cell & Gene Therapy Catapult, it is stated that 95% of ATMP businesses know they will have challenges with increasing their headcount in the next 5 years, while 98% know that retaining people will be one of their biggest issues to tackle.

Why is this? Quite simply, the Cell & Gene Therapy sector is growing exponentially, and there are (and will be) more vacancies than the number of experienced people. This is being commonly referred to as a “Skills Gap”.

It will therefore become harder to recruit new staff, and more important to retain your best people.

Now is the time to share ideas, particularly around apprenticeships, industrial placements, graduate schemes, continuous professional development programmes and platforms. We are happy to share a free copy of our own Next Phase report if click here: https://www.nextphaserecruitment.com/how-do-we-tackle-the-growing-skills-shortage-in-atmp - you are welcome to download and share this document as much as you like.

This is such an exciting, innovative sector, and this spirit of innovation needs to be incorporated into hiring and retention if businesses within the Cell & Gene Therapy / ATMP / broader Biotech sectors are going to continue to thrive.
