Welcome back! For many of our followers, today will be the first day back after a much-needed time off. If it is, our advice is to pace yourself.

It can be easy to get sucked straight back into unhealthy habits at work, including constantly working at full speed, checking messages throughout the day, always being reactive rather than taking control of your own time management, and accepting the unrealistic demands of others.

If you find this is happening to you, make sure you take some time out wherever possible, and don’t lose sight of some of the pledges you may have made to yourself around New Year.

Of course, during the period between Christmas and New Year, you may have thought “Do I want to make some changes next year?”. If the thought of remaining in your current role for a further year doesn’t excite you, maybe it is now time to think about other options...??

We have never been as busy at the start of a year as we are right now. Many of our Cell & Gene Therapy, Rare Disease, MedTech and Biotech clients have huge expansion plans for 2022. They are creating brand-new roles, promoting people internally and making openings elsewhere in the business, and starting new projects which may require contract staff. If you are potentially open to new opportunities, please get in touch for an informal, confidential chat about what the new year could bring for your career.
