Did you know, April is Stress Awareness Month? Neither did we!

Since 1992 April has been Stress Awareness Month and is intended to raise the awareness of the causes and cures for our modern-day stresses.

Hopefully, we all know some stress (or positive stress) is important to humans to help increase our resilience, confidence and encourage growth. It is short-term and is the type of stress that helps us meet our daily challenges and motivates us to reach our goals. Negative stress is a different animal altogether. Negative stress is the kind that wears you out, leaves you jittery and can be harmful to your health leading to anxiety, confusion, poor concentration and decreased performance.

At Next Phase Recruitment, we believe that supporting the well-being of our employees is crucial to their success and happiness and recognise that work can often be a cause of stress. We strive to create a supportive and inclusive environment that values the health and well-being of our employees. With this in mind we offer a range of resources and programs to help our team manage stress, such as flexible working arrangements, mental health days, and access to counselling services through Vitality, our Health Insurance provider.

We also encourage open communication with opportunities to take time out during the day to walk and talk, allowing us to prioritise our mental health and provide support to anyone around us who may be struggling.

Make sure you take some time, today and this month to understand your stresses and most importantly look after yourself.
