I am headhunting for a fantastic client who are looking to advance the growth of the UK cell and gene therapy industry, by bridging the gap between scientific research and full-scale commercialisation. Their aim is to create powerful collaborations which can overcome challanges in the advancement of the sector. They have an additional requirement for a Accademic Engagement Officer to join their London site.
The main responsibilities of the role would be to establish close relationships and an understanding of academic capabilities and research to identify new opportunities to collaborate and support the translation of novel cell and gene therapies and to develop innovative solutions for the industry.
Experience:
Experience of technology transfer in an academic or innovative environment
Experience of securing grant supported R&D collaborations
The intellectual interest and experience to interact with academic communities and the biotech industry
Working knowledge of the UK and European grants e.g. Innovate UK, Wellcome Trust, Horizon 2020
Experience in key account and customer relationship management
