Summary

The Company

A major Pharmaceutical service organisation based in Swindon, Wiltshire. Across 30+ sites worldwide, the company offers a range of drug development, manufacturing, packaging and distribution services to the global pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The Swindon site is a R&D and manufacturing facility, producing both large and smaller quantities of patented products, including some sterile processing. This is an excellent environment in which to gain new experiences and develop your skills. 

The Role

This is a varied position in which you will be helping with a range of projects autonomously on method validation, clinical and EU release testing and routine stability analyses. You will use and operate laboratory equipment but not limited to chemical analyses, chromatographic and physical evaluation of pharmaceutical dose forms. You will be required to be subject matter expert (SME) and analytical lead on site projects, including knowledge share and mentoring of junior staff. You would also contribute to research into new technologies – product and equipment based as well as assisting with improvements and efficiency drives within the Analytical team.

The Contract

The contract is offered on an initial 3 months basis, with the possibility of extension beyond this, though this is not guaranteed. You will be paid a competitive hourly rate, equivalent to £22,000 pa, in line with industry standards including holiday allowance.

Requirements

The successful candidate needs to have a life science degree with proven laboratory experience or pharmaceutical industry experience adhering to GMP/GLP standards and using laboratory equipment. Above all else, you must be a hard-working, reliable individual.

This is a temporary role for 3 months initially, with the chance of extension beyond this.
