The Role of Technician:
The Bioprocess Technician role is within their wider industrialisation group whose purpose is to take research-based methods to develop scalable clinical manufacturing protocols. This opportunity is one where you will be able to use your science and creativity to support the development of novel cell therapy medicinal products and associated technology for multiple clients and collaborators.
Responsibilities includes:
- To drive the laboratory-based development activities across a range of projects
- To progress research – based manufacturing processes to scalable clinical manufacturing protocols for commercial use
- To collaborate with process and analytical development scientists within academic and industrial settings.
Required Skills and Expertise:
- PhD in relevant life science or MSc/BSc with subsequent commercial experience (ideally 3+ years in a life science environment either with biologics or cell therapies)
- Experience in cell culture with either Immune cells or (Lymphocytes, PBMC, Dendritic cells) HSC CD34+ cells, hESC, hiPS, MSC, HEK293 or other clinically relevant cell types is essential
- Experience in analytical techniques: Cell counts, Flow Cytometry, metabolite analysis, PCR
- Experience in a GMP environment
