Contract Clinical Operations Manager roles for global studies available throughout 2018. The roles are home based in the UK, or can be office based in Reading if you prefer. You would be a key member of the central Study Management team with major pharma company. The roles are for an initial 12 month contract with client approved outside IR35 contract and offers a competitive day rate with the security of 2 month notice period.
Our client is committed to expanding their UK clinical trial operations over the course of 2018 having taken on a total of 17 new clinical contract staff in 2017 in the UK. In addition, all for the existing contractors had their contracts extended by 12 months. They are planning a similar level of expansion in 2018 and we are working on this program proactively now. The positions will include Clinical Operations Managers and they are happy for people to be home based in the UK. The contracts will be for an initial 12 months with the expectation for the contract to run for the length of the study phase as an absolute minimum. We have a number of contractors in their 3rd, 4th and 5th years with the company as they look to establish long term relationships with their “in-sourced colleagues”. Contractors are not used for contingency purposes, with a target of 30% of the European clinical group working on a contract basis. The contracts will be outside of IR35 and will usually be extended at the start of the 11th month with a rate review. A competitive daily rate is offered as well as a flexible 35 hour working week and the security of a 2 month notice period. The studies will range from early to late phase in one of the UK based therapeutic areas.
To meet the client’s needs we are building a portfolio of candidates available over the course of next year. The company offers flexible starts dates based on your availability and will cater for notice periods / current contract end dates. They are looking to recruit proactively from the start of 2018 and put in place contracts as far in advance as possible.
The roles are working directly for a major pharma company involving acting as a key member of the Study Team with responsibility and accountability for the operations of global studies including the oversight of locally based Country Lead Monitors. All investigational site operations are outsourced to CROs.
