Contract Study Manager roles for global oncology studies available throughout 2018, the positions are directly working for a major pharma company and are home based in the UK, or can be office based in Reading if you prefer.
Our client is committed to expanding their UK Oncology clinical trial group over the course of 2018 having taken on a total of 16 new clinical contract staff in 2017 in the UK. In addition, all for the existing contractors had their contracts extended by 12 months. We are planning for a similar level of expansion in 2018 and are working on this program proactively. The positions will predominantly be at Study Manager level and they are happy for people to be home based in the UK. The contracts will be for an initial 12 months with the expectation for the contract to run for the length of the study phase as an absolute minimum. We have a number of contractors in their 3rd, 4th and 5th years with the company as they look to establish long term relationships with their “in-sourced colleagues”. Contractors are not used for contingency purposes, with a target of 30% of the European clinical group working on a contract basis. The contracts will be outside of IR35 and will usually be extended at the start of the 11th month with a rate review. A competitive daily rate is offered as well as a flexible 35 hour working week and the security of a 2 month notice period. The studies will range from early to late phase and will be matched to your experience and preference.
To meet the client’s needs we are building a portfolio of candidates available over the course of next year. The company offers flexible starts dates based on your availability and will cater for notice periods / current contract end dates. They are looking to recruit proactively from the start of 2018 and put in place contracts as far in advance as possible.
