Clinical Trial Services Proposal Manager Opportunity

Summary

Based in Feltham, Middlesex this is a permanent opportunity with a leading global clinical trial services provider. The company leads the market in clinical trial logistical solutions backed by a network of globally based depots. This role will suit a a person with around 2 years clinical trials or supply chain/logistics/distribution experience looking for a first job move in their career. You will need to be good with, and enjoy work with figures as well as spreadsheets and be  able to assess study requirements and coordinate the production of proposals for new business with a good understanding of commercial factors.

The company employs nearly 700 staff managing over 50,000 shipments a month at all temperature ranges to more than 150 countries. Services include project management, labelling, shipment, returns and destructions, QP approval and batch release plus direct to patient services. 

The Role

The focus of this role is the coordination and generation of proposals for the provision of clinical trial distribution and direct to patient solutions that meet individual study needs. This will involve interpretation of clinical trial protocols and liaison with internal key stakeholders including Business Development, Operations, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance. Based on the information gathered, resource analysis, timelines and risk analysis professional and commercially competitive proposals will be generated with the final contents being agreed internally prior to client submission. Other aspects of the role will include supporting Business Development, maintaining pricing templates and coordinating rates with 3rd party vendors. 

The key purpose of the position is to provide accurate, profitable, competitive and winning service and pricing proposals based on the service requirements of the client and their study. Full training will be provided on the specific process and procedures based on the individuals’ requirements.  

Experience 

We are seeking an ambitious person with around 2 years clinical trials or supply chain/logistics/distribution experience looking for a first job move in their career. You will need to be good with, and enjoy work with figures as well as spreadsheets and be  able to assess study requirements and coordinate the production of proposals for new business with a good understanding of commercial factors. You will need good business acumen, computing skills including Excel, and first rate communication abilities plus a commercial appreciation of prices, costs and margins.
