Summary
James Hume is recruiting for a Supply Chain Demand Planning Manager to join a fast developing Biotech who have a unique technology to be based at their R&D site in Kent.  The role is to manage the planning and forecasting of their commercial and R&D drug supply chain.  This role has been created to meet the changing needs of the company as they continue to grow with products launched commercially and more under development.  They need someone to manage and coordinate the demand for their products in their supply chains so there is a steady and seamless product supply.

They are a fast growing and developing company who are leaders in their specific field within Biotechnology, have products across a range of therapeutic areas at all stages of the development pipeline.  They are growing because of the success they have experienced with products launched commercially with others at latter stages of clinical trials.  Whilst they are UK based operations are now being opened in the US to become a global organisation.  Their research is based on a unique cannabinoid technology which is now beginning to meet its potential as they explore its benefits further.  The company are rightly proud of their product pipeline and their aim is to keep their position at the front of research in their unique field.      

The Role
The Supply Chain Demand Planning Manager is a senior role with influence across the company due to its responsibilities to ensure a steady flow of products into their commercial and R&D supply chains.  You will be managing a small team and the responsibility for the demand planning and forecasting of their commercial and R&D supply chains.  As the Manager you will have influence on how the remit of the role is implemented using your experience to determine this to set out the information flows, processes for artwork, launch planning and incident management.  

The key activities of this position include managing the forecasting and supply process, the management of the artwork team to ensure seamless pack changes and new product introductions using launch and change control processes.  Working closely with internal and external key partners to understand the various business areas and their needs to ensure a continual flow of information to generate a steady supply of products into the supply chain.  As the manager you will have responsibility for compliance to cGxP for the team as well as be the company SME relating to all relevant aspects of supply chain planning.

Experience
You will need to have to have some experience of working in the pharmaceutical industry with knowledge of MHRA, and GMP regulations – if you have FDA experience this si advantageous to your application.  You will need to have management experience and knowledge of supply chain planning in a relevant environment.  Additionally you will need knowledge of relevant systems such as MRP / ERP, IVRS, and WM systems.
