Prominent, publicly funded tourism organisation currently requires an E-Commerce Platform Executive to join its commercial division based in Westminster.

Working for a truly international organisation and playing a vital part in driving an essential UK industry, the successful E-Commerce Platform Executive will work with senior stakeholders and third party suppliers, taking ownership of e-commerce systems.

A wide ranging position, you will be required to play a pivotal role in the development, testing, support and project management of e-commerce platforms.  Employing a rounded knowledge of e-commerce platforms, you will specifically be responsible for the following:

Agency Management
  • Organise and drive regular conference calls and face to face meetings with the agency
  • Monitor site downtime and performance issues and work with the agency to resolve them
  • Manage the agency budget, ensuring that deliverables are value for money, good quality and within agreed timescales

Systems Management & Development

  • Support the E-commerce Systems Manager in testing new functionality and future platform developments, in order that the department can maximise the potential of the platform
  • Support the Operations Team in the management of promotions, fulfilment and shipping rates within the system
  • Create, test and maintain all system templates including e-mail, e-vouchers, invoices and credit notes
  • Configure new pages as required using HTML
  • Training of new staff in how to use the platform and CMS
  • Lead on the identification and prioritisation of system enhancements

Finance, Payments & Security

  • Manage the maintenance of correct product pricing across all shops
  • Investigate payment and other issues using the WorldPay payment gateway merchant interface
  • Notify key stakeholders of any payment related issues found, resolved or otherwise and escalate issues where required

User Support & Training

  • Work with users to ensure optimal use of all areas of the system, including: content management, discounts and promotions, shipping, merchandising and customer service
  • Design and deliver training for all users of the system, keep a record of training delivered
  • Provide technical support for projects across the Retail team (Online marketing, Systems, Product and Operations)

Reporting

  • Work closely with the Technology Department to ensure that read-only-database reports remain accurate and useful to the Retail Team and managers
  • Be the expert user and produce specific ROD reports from the system on a regular and ad hoc basis as required by the Product and Operations teams
  • Liaise as required with fulfilment warehouses to resolve any system issues
  • Ensure that shipping prices are functioning correctly on the system

The successful E-Commerce Platform Executive will have a broad range of skills and be eager to expand them further.  Naturally a strong facilitator, with an ability to be flexible and work to your own initiative, you will also be comfortable coordinating others and be highly analytical.
