Job Title: Electronics Engineer

The role:
As an electronics engineer, you will be heavily involved in developing and improving the surgical robotic devices, which ultimately improve patients lives. Through the innovative approach this company takes, you will be a significant part of the creation, of a revolutionary solution which the medical device industry has never perceived before.
Role Responsibilities:
- Rapidly develop and iterate prototypes
- Design electronics boards
- Design, analyse, prototype, and validate sensors
- Develop and support academic collaborations in related fields
- Participate in the design of revolutionary medical devices
- Write and maintain accurate documentation of concepts, systems and prototypes
- Support company goals and objectives: policies, procedures, and regulations
Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency using electronics CAD and advanced analysis tools
- Knowledge of simulation methods
- Expertise in the design of sensors and interfaces
- Hands-on experience with hardware such as robot components, electronics and sensors such as: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, microcontrollers, etc
- Autonomous, creative and able to work in a fast paced and multi-disciplinary environment: (R&D: mechanics, electronics, algorithm, Quality Assurance and Regulation)
- Passion for details in creating robust and reliable machines designed for mission-critical applications
- Able to understand releasing controlled medical device documentation such as design specifications, test reports or analogous required. With familiarity with concepts of design input, design output, traceability, and risk analysis
- Familiarity with the full product development lifecycle including concept development, design, implementation, debug, verification, qualification, and transfer to manufacturing
- Proficient at process development and creation of assembly instructions
- Background in ISO and FDA regulated environments is preferred
Qualifications:
- MS, or PhD in electronics engineering, Mechatronics, Physics or related scientific or engineering disciplines
- Around 3 years electronics design experience ideally within medical devices, is preferred
