Engineering Manager – Projects and Automation

My client is at the forefront of advancing the growth of the UK cell and gene therapy industry. They offer cutting-edge technology and capability, to advance their partner companies therapies and development programmes.
The purpose of the Engineering Manager is to lead all the engineering projects for the manufacturing centre, including the automation stream, facility modifications and projects relating to continuous improvements.
The key accountabilities of the role are:
Project Management – delivering project objectives in scope, budget and agreed timeframes
People Management – leading and motivating the engineering department
Automation Process Engineering – acting as a SME for the automated systems within the manufacturing centre
The right candidate for this role will have the following profile:
Significant previous experience in engineering project management within a pharma/biotech environment
Significant previous experience working within a GMP environment
Previous experience in both people and project management
