Do you want to build the next generation, medical eyecare devices?
You will be joining the hardware engineering team in a critical role that will be involved in the assembly and production of our ground-breaking ophthalmic equipment. Using state of the art technologies such as rapid prototyping and machining, you will aid the team in our endeavour to revolutionise the eyecare industry.
Job Role
- Assembling complex medical devices by following manufacturing procedures.
- Using state of the art rapid prototyping equipment to produce custom parts to support the development team.
- Investigating and testing ideas to improve existing systems and solve problems.
- Servicing machinery on production lines (3D printers, Laser cutters, CNCs).
- Installing and carrying out preventative maintenance on industrial plant equipment.
- Life cycle support such as recalibrating devices and keeping them up to spec.
- Providing technical support to customers and employees.
- Meeting performance targets and adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Working closely with the team to continuously improve processes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum GCSE – Maths, Science, English C level or equivalent.
- Practical and hands on skills.
- Technical skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to follow processes.
- Ability to work independently.
- Previous experience in rapid prototyping (3D printers etc.)
- Previous assembly experience.
- The ability to read engineering drawings.
- Open to learning and developing new skills.
