Do you have a strong influencing and leadership skills within pharmaceutical operations? This is an excellent and influential opportunity to secure a position for a company that is a driving force behind the Cell & Gene Therapy Sector. The Head of Operations opportunity is responsible for managing collaborator groups and the Operations team.

Purpose of the Role:

The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading the collaborator project management groups and the Warehouse, Supply Chain & GMP operations team. You will manage Collaborator organisations from the start through to relationship management during on- boarding, routine manufacturing, and off-boarding activities and oversee all GMP production processes across production areas, logistical and supply chain activities at the manufacturing site as well as offsite.

Key responsibilities include:
  • To lead the lifecycle management of Collaborator, ensure the relationship between organisation and ensuring expectations on budget, quality and timelines are achieved
  • Support Business Development team with Collaborator visits/meetings, preparing costings and assisting with negotiations and writing contracts and support any amendments to contracts, schedules, writing specifications or undertaking cost analysis for additional services
  • To lead the Operations team in all aspects of Collaborator support and GMP operations
  • To be responsible for supply chain and logistic service providers, maintain operational metrics, manage scheduling processes and systems across the manufacturing area
  • Act as the first point of contact for internal stakeholders in matters of manufacturing operations
  • Manage relationships with key service providers, supply chain groups and collaborator project management teams including recruitment, selection, training, and development

This role will have an impact on managing operational relationships with companies within the cell and gene therapy cluster and support further development of the cluster.

Required Skills and Expertise:
  • Experience working in a GMP environment preferably in cell and gene therapy or biopharmaceuticals
  • Ideally minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Development and relationship management in biologics/biopharmaceuticals or cell and gene therapy
  • Degree in pharmaceutical or biological discipline
  • Proven experience and the ability to manage multiple disciplines and motivating and developing teams
