Key daily tasks:
- Based in the Horsham office, although occasional visits to other locations may be required
- Fully configure, support, maintain and upgrade in-house servers and network
- Monitor system performance (availability, utilization, throughput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Deploy defined system solutions for permanent and temporary locations
- Support and administer third-party applications
- Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords
- Resolve all escalated Incidents, Service and Change Requests within SLA
- Undertake proactive maintenance to prevent Incidents occurring, including advice and guidance on best practice
- Create and maintain processes to manage repeatedly logged Incidents, problem management
- Provide assistance with the build and ongoing support of Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, 2016 and Windows workstation 7/8/10 and future operating systems
- Provide assistance with mobile device configuration and management
- Provide backup to the Service Desk when required and support at other locations as requested
- Do R&D into new solutions and take ownership of the new solution
- Provide weekly report of progress to the Infrastructure Manager
- Document processes and services
- Excellent understanding of Active Directory, GPO (group policy object) DNS and FSMO
- Windows operating systems server - Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 2016 Server and Windows workstation 7/8/10
- SCCM including imaging and software packaging
- PowerShell scripting
- Virtualisation skills, VMWare and Hyper-V
- Understanding TCP/IP networks
- Understanding of MPLS, WAN and ADSL/FTTC/Fibre/3G/4G etc.
- Network maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience of working in an ITIL environment preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Network qualifications desirable
- Cisco/Juniper, Pulse Secure and Fortigate management and configuration skills
- Squid proxy support
