- Fixed-term 6-month contract role to start ASAP
- Worthing, West Sussex
- GMP-regulated Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
- £16,500 pro rata
- Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm
- Excellent attention to detail and methodical nature ESSENTIAL
Do you have very strong attention to detail and experience gained in a regulated manufacturing, packaging or warehouse environment? Or have you recently finished at university and are you looking to gain commercial GMP experience? A further position has arisen with a leading Pharmaceutical company in Worthing, for a Technician to join their regulated Packaging and Inspection area, to help during a very busy period for the next 6 months. This is a fixed-term position, on the company’s payroll, with pay equivalent to a salary of £16,500. You will work 7am – 3pm, Monday to Friday. Candidates will be considered from a variety of backgrounds, including factory production, precision engineering, soldering, electronics, packaging, QC, warehouse, and many more. If you have a good work ethic, strong attention to detail, and an interest in learning more about the Pharmaceutical industry, this could be an excellent opportunity to build on your experience.
A pioneering Worthing-based Pharmaceutical company who manufacture and distribute life-changing drugs to patients across Europe and other territories around the world. They specialise in making vaccines for people who suffer from debilitating conditions and they have an excellent reputation as a local employer. The company is well known its positive and supportive working environment.
Working in a busy Production and Packaging environment, you will perform a range of routine duties based around the Inspection, Labelling and Packaging of liquid vaccines that have been put into pre-loaded syringes or vials. This requires the highest possible attention to detail because you will check for defects, discolouration and anything else that might require investigation. You will manually process labels for individual orders and ensure that the correct labels are put on each pack, which requires lots of cross-checking of order numbers and batch codes. You will work in collaboration with others, checking each other’s batch codes and other information, to ensure 100% correctness and maximising efficiency of the team.
The environment is controlled by strict GMP regulations, so you will have to wear overalls, hair net and shoe covers. Make-up and jewellery will not be permitted in the clean room, as is standard within any Pharmaceutical production or laboratory environment.
You will be paid a £16,500 salary and will be treated as an employee, not a temp. You will work in a friendly team in the company’s main production facility, which is a pleasant, modern setting. The company offers kitchen facilities and free parking.
We are looking either for a recent graduate looking to gain GMP experience, or someone with experience in a Production, Labelling, Packaging or Warehouse environment, following strict regulations such as GMP or ISO. Above all else, we want someone who works hard at all times and who offers excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), good literacy and numeracy, patience, an honest and likeable manner and strong attention to detail.
Please note that colourblind candidates cannot be considered due to the colour-coding system used when you check and label the vials of vaccine.
Candidates will regrettably not be considered if they have booked excessive holiday during the next few months. Occasional days off will be permitted, but not lengthy periods in one block.
