A brand new opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Co-ordinator, to join an innovative organisation who are currently headquartered in Guildford and are opening a brand new production facility in Dunsfold Park, Cranleigh, Surrey. If you have a good background in logistics, preferably gained in a regulated setting (e.g. Pharmaceutical / Clinical / Food / Cosmetics), and if you enjoy undertaking a broad range of duties within a small company, this will be a genuinely exciting role.


Company Description
An innovative business who have developed a new and innovative method of drug delivery using elemental silicon. They are able to produce it in a variety of shapes and can customise the drug carrier to carry a range of ingredients, ranging from DNA to vitamins and proteins. Their product has a broad range of possible applications including drug delivery, skincare and dermatological treatments. The company originally started in Belfast but have since branched out to England (Guildford, Surrey) and are now opening a purpose-built facility near Cranleigh. You will need your own transport to drive between sites. Occasional travel to Dover may also be required during your initial training.

The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a competent and self-motivated individual who can make full use of their supply planning, logistics and warehouse experience. You will undertake a range of duties including the following:

 

  • Stock forecasting
  • Raising Purchase Orders
  • Receipt of materials
  • Processing documentation (order receipt, invoices etc)
  • QC inspection
  • Stock / Inventory control and tracking
  • Creating procedures relating to supply planning, logistics and materials control
  • Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
  • Housekeeping of storage areas
  • Monitoring and recording storage conditions
  • Goods Out control
  • Liaison with Couriers
  • General administrative duties to support manufacturing

Experience
The successful candidate will be a skilled Logistics Co-ordinator / Technician / Officer with experience gained in a technical environment. You must have a decent standard of literacy and numeracy, together with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a number of different internal and external parties. Experience from a small / start-up company would be a strong advantage but is not essential. You will ideally have a solid grounding in GMP / GDP or similar standards, with an understanding of the importance of SOPs. You must have your own transport and will need to be within easily commutable distance of Cranleigh (e.g. Horsham, Crawley, Gatwick, Guildford etc).
