Summary
Ciao! Are you bilingual in Italian and English? Do you have a medical or biological science background, together with strong customer service skills? If so, this will be an excellent career opportunity. An exciting opportunity for a bilingual (Italian native level and English, good command) life science graduate, ideally with some experience from a Pharmacy, Hospital, Medical Information or other similar medically oriented setting, to join one of the largest Pharmaceutical companies in the world. The ideal candidate will be an Italian national living in the UK. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a large pharmaceutical company environment in a discipline that is in demand throughout the pharmaceutical industry.  

The Role
Based in a busy office which supports the European marketplace, you will join the Medical Information team, where calls and e-mails come through from healthcare professionals and members of the public regarding a range of drug products. Using various internal resources and your own knowledge (following training), you will respond to the medically-oriented queries and will get the chance to specialise in certain therapeutic areas to provide the best possible customer service. The service is backed by medical experts and may involve determining and reporting adverse reactions. 

This role will be supporting calls from customers in who are primarily in Italy. You will also write a range of documentation to support the provision of information to the Italian market. Typically calls are from the medical profession regarding aspects such as dosages, drug interactions, unexpected adverse reactions, drug storage etc following the contact provided on the leaflet that accompanies the drug. Providing such a service in support of drug products is legal a requirement so skills in this area are in demand across the industry. Typically, you will handle around 5 to 6 enquiries per day and will be responsible for documenting responses.   

This will be a fun, enjoyable and challenging role requiring the highest possible standards of customer service and professionalism. Gaining experience in Medical Information will also set you on a varied and profitable career path. This role is offered on a long-term contract basis with an initial 12-month contract with a strong chance of extension.

Experience
You must have a strong Life Science, Nursing, Drug Safety or Pharmacy (or similar medically oriented) background (degree preferred) with a good grasp of medical terminology. You will also need to have experience gained in a communication-focused, client services or office-based role. You must have an excellent telephone manner and written communication skills and the ability to handle a variety of enquiries. You MUST be able to speak and write Italian fluently (to mother to tongue level) and have a strong command of written and spoken English.
