James Hume is recruiting for a National Sales Manager to take control of a newly formed business unit that is responsible for the promotion of vision care products to the independent sector for this multi national eye care company based in South West London. They are well-established leading eye care organisation who have been at the forefront of visionary innovations since their conception with a market leading presence in the UK. The team operates in the independents channel promoting contact lenses, including a market leading product, and associated consumables to opticians and pharmacies.

This is a national role where you will be leading a team of 6 sales people in the vision care unit, selling to the independents and regionals sector. With the responsibility to motivate, lead and guide them to achieve targets. You will provide leadership through effective communication of the company’s vision, strategic business planning, active coaching and development of the team. Particularly with an upcoming new product launch. Working closely with each team member to develop and improve performance to achieve targets through activities such as co travels, observations and measurement of results.
In addition you will have an area of your own in London working directly with target customers to grow business and achieve targets. The range of products is market leading including one that is revolutionary and different to what is currently on the market. They are an established presence in the sector meaning you will be taking over an existing and profitable patch.
This is an influential role within the company where you will be working in with departments across the whole company to deliver significant sales performance throughout the UK directly and by leading your team to success.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
You will need to have demonstrable experience leading sales teams successfully, within the healthcare and FMCG sectors with previous personal sales experience. You will be experienced at managing performance across a diverse and national team. Their head off is based in South West London and you will need to be able to travel there on a regular basis.
You will need to live in London or surrounding areas due to your patch and to be in easy reach of the Head Office.
