Summary:
 
The role of Programme Manager is a key position for this company at the forefront of Gene Therapy development, with the responsibility of driving and delivering R&D projects taking these from concept to clinic. They are driven by the realisation that they can develop and offer the best AAV based Gene Therapies globally.  With a focus on genetic disorders. such as those that affect the central nervous system, muscles, and heart tissues.
 
Their Edinburgh site is the R&D Engine of the company developing new platform technologies or enhancing existing platforms as they progress to clinical trials. With technology that focuses on wild type AAV vectors allied with sector leading gene expression tools, gene dosing and high yield AAV manufacturing capabilities.
 
The role:
 
They are seeking at least two Progamme Managers who will drive projects throughout their lifecycle taking them from concept, through R&D, and IND submission to the clinic.  They are a multi national organisation which means you will be coordinating with counterparts in the US (HQ & Clinical) and Spain (Manufacturing).  You will assume day to day responsibility for the management of research and development projects working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.  Taking these throughout the entire lifecycle from initiation to close using your own expertise and drawing on others to take these across the translational gap to the clinic.
 
This is an excellent role because of its visibility to the senior management team and will have an impact on the sector and the commercialisation of these life changing therapies.  They are seeking high calibre individuals who through this role can gain the exposure and expertise needed to become a future leader.
 
Experience:
 
For this opportunity you will need to have a relevant degree or high qualification with experience of working in commercial environments.  With experience of managing R&D programmes in the Cell & Gene Therapy, Biopharma, Biotech, or Biologics sector.  With expertise in the development of products to take these from concept into the clinic, including knowledge of IND submissions.  With experience of working in a matrix environment and the ability to influence others.
