The Role of Management Accountant:
The role of Purchasing Analyst is to provide centralised purchase to pay service to ensure controlled and cost – effective goods and services based on their needs.  You will conduct purchasing and supply chain related research and analysis to support the technical, finance and operational teams.  You will conduct market research to identify pricing trends, evaluate offers from suppliers to negotiate pricing and payment terms to ensure best value.  As well as other responsibilities such as raising purchase orders, tracking orders, invoice reconciliation, arranging payments and prepare cost centre, departmental and project analyses to generate subsequent reports.

This is a hands-on role where you will be working closely with the CFO to develop and implement the best strategies to keep systems developing to keep pace with their changing needs as they grow.

Desired Skills and Experience:
For this opportunity you will need to several years’ experience in a purchasing role with a good understanding of supply chain procedures, with knowledge of conducting market research.  Ideally you will have experience of working in a life sciences / biotech company or an SME environment.  You will also have a degree or equivalent in a business, finance or science related discipline.  If you have a certificate / formal qualification in procurement or supply operations this is advantageous to your application.  As well as working knowledge of Sage accounting software.
