SCCM Application Packager (contract) job by

Leading Highway Services business currently requires a Contract SCCM Application Packager to join its IT team in Horsham, West Sussex, for a 2 month contract starting ASAP.

The key responsibilities are:

Creates software installation packages for both in-house developed and Commercial-off-the-Shelf software (up to 35 software packages)
Comply with software packaging quality and performance standards, as well as testing processes and procedures
Work with application support teams to determine software installation requirements
Research and troubleshoot OSD and application defects

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

Experience of SCCM 2012R2 SCCM 1610 and packaging experience in a broad range of applications.
Experience of using SCCM for Windows Update Deployment, Operating System Deployment and Application Deployment
Familiar with Task sequence, packages and the new application model
Advanced knowledge of MSI packaging techniquestools, Scripting, and creating MSI custom actions
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft client Operating Systems (Windows 10) and associated software within Microsoft environments, especially relating to automated Workstation build techniques (OSD), application delivery and client configuration.
Experience of App-V
Awareness of change management process
Logical and rational approach to troubleshooting and remediation
Excellent written and oral communications skills, able to communicate at all levels, technical and non-technical
Industry certification a distinct advantage (MCSE, SCCM)
Knowledge of any other products in the SystemCenter suite would be desirable

This is for a SCCM Application Packager who is available immediately. The day rate is £300 per day.
