The Opportunity:
The purpose of the Scientific Sales Representative is to generate prospective clients via the phone and emails in France and the UK. To qualify their suitability for and interest in the company’s products to pass these leads to the sales team to follow up to be converted.

To achieve this you will research and call perspective clients who are from the Academic, Biotech and Pharma industries in the UK and France.  To find opportunities by learning about their research ambitions and methods to provide an overview of the company’s services to find the right match for their needs.  You will need to speak on a technical basis to fully understand their needs so that all solutions can be communicated clearly. 

Desired Skills and Experience:

This is an entry level role so you will not need to have previous sales experience but if you do then this is advantageous to your application.  You will need to be bilingual in both French and English with at least a degree, preferably a higher-level qualification, in a subject that has given you technical knowledge of mammalian cell culture, molecular biology and related areas.

The company, who are based on a Science Park just South of Oxford, are at the cutting edge of the exciting field of synthetic biology.  They have developed their unique technology which enables them to support the discovery, development and manufacture of cell & gene therapies.  They currently offer a range of custom services, specialising in the design of DNA, optimisation of protein and viral expression systems, cell culture, and cell line development technologies.  They are going through a significant period of expansion based on the success of their services and technology, not just in the UK but also in the US where they have recently opened a new office.
