A pioneering company at the centre of the Cell & Gene Therapy sector is seeking a Scientific Training Advisor, to support the Skills Programme Lead in sourcing Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and concurrently co-create and deliver training content.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • The Scientific Training Advisor will be the primary SME and point of contact to support the design and delivery of curricula and individual training programmes and will closely collaborate with the Scientific Learning Content Design & Delivery Specialist in the development and execution of training programmes.
 
  • The successful candidate will also serve as a trainer for the delivery of content for staff and provide expertise to support the designing and delivering of skills and training programmes.
 
  • Provide expert advice on GMP relevance of training course content and equipment.
 
  • Attend and provide expert input on regular Skills team meetings.

 
Skills & Experience:
 
  • Proven ability to engage constructively with colleagues at all levels across the organisation.
 
  •  Ability to work quickly and accurately with a strong focus on attention to detail.
 
  • Experience of delivering scientific training programmes would be highly beneficial.
 
  • A strong background working in development, scale-up or GMP manufacturing roles, at least part of which is within industry.
 
Experience of laboratory processes is required, ideally including:
o Working with GMP regulations to manufacture Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs).
o Operating and designing ATMP processes on closed and automated bioprocessing equipment.
o Critically evaluating equipment and processes - Upstream and Downstream Bioprocessing of ATMPs.

 
 
Education/Qualifications:
 
  • Education/training or qualifications in instructional or learning design are beneficial.
 
  • BSc within Life Sciences or Bio-Engineering subject is essential
 
  • MSc/PhD within Life Sciences or Bio-Engineering subject is desirable
