They are seeking a Scientist to join their Viral Vector Analytical Development team which is expanding to meet the company’s growing ambitions and delivery of these life changing therapies. What is key is that you will be using your scientific expertise in this role to actively influence the translation of the therapies. This team also supports CMC testing, batch release, and analytical method transfer to CMO activities.
Contribute to the development, optimisation, and validation of analytical methods for the testing of quality attributes and characterisation of novel viral vectors.
Contribute to the design and execution of experimental programmes for the development and optimisation of analytical assays to ensure the products are of the right quality and potency.
Ensure methods are ready through the implementation of pre-qualification protocols.
Take part in the transfer and validation of methods to cGMP environments.
Work in close collaboration with the 3rd Parties, R&D, Cell Line Development, DSP, Manufacturing Development and Quality Groups as a responsible member of the USP team.
Continue to seek to implement the latest methods, technology scouting or implementation of new technology so activities are at the cutting edge.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
For this opportunity you will need:
A PhD or MSc / BSc in a relevant scientific area
Experience of working on Analytical Development Characterisation of Viral Vectors – e.g., AAV, Lentiviral, Adenoviral, and Retroviral
Commercial experience of the development, optimisation, validation and transfer of analytical methods.
Experience in the use of ddPCR / PCR, FACS and Flow Cytometry for example
Experience of the development of cell based assays such as potency.
Experience in the development of methods such as UV, CE and UHPLC
Experienced in the application of DoE and QbD methods.
