My client is a thriving independent medical communications company based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. They offer a great working environment, a wide variety of project activities and great scope for personal growth.
Working in long-term therapy areas where there is a high educational need, a significant proportion of their work involves the development of expert-led medical and scientific content for a range of technology-rich projects aimed at different healthcare stakeholders.
The new Senior Account Manager role is due to expansion and will involve taking a leading day-to-day managerial role in close collaboration with both colleagues and major regional clients and the line management and training of newly appointed graduates. The successful candidate will undertake the efficient and timely development and implementation of projects including budget management and financial reporting as well as developing organic new business opportunities.
A degree, along with several years’ account management and agency experience is preferred. You must have a strong service orientation and an ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships, while utilising your scientific and commercial know-how to provide reasoned advice and communication recommendations. In addition, the position requires a high level of flexibility, attention to detail, self-motivation and organisational skills.
A life sciences background (especially at degree level) would be beneficial, as would having an understanding of at least one of the following therapy areas; cardio-metabolic, infectious diseases, oncology, inflammation, rare diseases or neurology.
