Senior Electronics Engineer – Product Design and Development

Are you an experienced Electronics Engineer, based in Scotland, looking for a new challenging role? Would the chance to work in the innovative field of medical device development be of interest to you?

My client are a market leader of ophthalmology diagnostics device and they require a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their experienced team. Working closely with colleagues from the Research and Development and Systems Development teams you will be an integral part of the design and realisation of cutting edge device conception and delivery, alongside continuous improvement of the existing product portfolio.

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate strong commercial exposure within electronic design engineering, ideally from the medical device sector, however, other industries experience will also be considered. Exceptional proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, electronic design automation and DFx is also essential, with strong analogue and digital electronics abilities, gained from new product development. As a senior member of the team you will be responsible for mentoring less experienced colleagues and reviewing their work.

On a personal level, excellent communication skills are crucial, alongside the courage of your convictions to present your design ideas and justifications to your peers from varied engineering disciplines.
