As a Research Engineer you’ll be responsible for:
• Collaborate closely with the founding team and scientific advisors to build and deploy scalable generative ML models on AWS and GCP, using Ray and Anyscale.
• Run large-scale distributed training and inference across thousands of GPUs.
• Develop robust ML tooling and libraries that support rapid experimentation and scaling.
• Design rigorous validation and benchmarking systems for high-quality model performance.
• Work autonomously and think critically to tackle open-ended, high-impact problems.
• Integrate biological feedback from wet lab experiments on proteins and cancer cells to continuously improve our models.
Requirements:
• Degree in computer science, applied math, computational biology, or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years experience training and deploying deep learning models at scale.
• Strong software engineering skills, especially in building and maintaining ML libraries.
• Hands-on experience with distributed training and parallelized workloads.
• A proven ability to communicate scientific ideas, solve novel problems, and collaborate across disciplines.
Other Skills of interest:
• Experience with generative models, reinforcement learning, or NLP techniques.
• Peer-reviewed ML publications or contributions to open-source projects.
