A Senior Procurement Category Specialist is required to join a company an independent innovation and technology organization committed to the advancement of Cell and Gene therapies.  
 
The purpose of this role is to be an expert in all aspects of procurement. You will be responsible for deploying the vision and plans of the Senior Procurement Manager by managing procurement through the procurement life cycle stages from identifying business needs to contracts on internal and external resources. You will analyse CAPEX expenditure, negotiate, ensure all processes are in place and are being followed whilst adhering to OJEU and PCR 2015 regulations.
 
This role is a permanent, onsite, 5 days a week position. My client is based in Braintree and on offer is a competitive salary ranging up to £60,000.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Procurement Category Specialist role:
 
  • Advise and oversee on EU and UK procurement regulations
  • Deliever a range of category objectives, including financial, P2P process and supply chain improvements
  • Manage e sourcing and other purchasing systems, data, reports and records
  • Prepare tender documents
  • Lead the process for briefs, evaluations, contracts, negotiation, proposals, assessments, buyers, terms and conditions, systems and processes.
  • Liaise with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Analyse expenditure to ensure value for money
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
 
  • At least 10 years procurement experience
  • Advanced analytical/ data skills
  • Experience of handling tenders, contract management and category management
  • Adaptable to change
  • Awareness and understanding of procuring through OJEU, government and public funded bodies
