The Opportunity:
This is an exciting and diverse opportunity for a Scientist with commercial experience to join the team developing novel vectors for clinical manufacture due to increased demand for this service in particular AAV. As a Senior Scientist you will be leading projects in the laboratory so that they are delivered on time by using your science and mentoring more junior colleagues. Using your science to design, engineer, produce and characterise novel vectors. Working on both external commercial projects in conjunction with internal platform development projects in collaboration with colleagues from other groups.
Outside of the lab you will be in contact with clients on a regular basis as a technical expert, providing project updates and presentations when required. Working closely with them throughout the lifecycle of the projects to ensure it is delivered and meets their requirements.

The company are at the cutting edge of the use of Synthetic Biology with a platform technology that enables them to engineer DNA which is a unifying theme across all their services – DNA design, expression system optimisation, cell line development and with a particular focus on viral delivery systems.

In addition to this they have other technologies under development after securing funding that will further enhance the portfolio of services they can offer. Desired Skills and Experience:
They are looking for a creative thinking scientist who has a PhD in a relevant field and you will need to have experience of using engineering, developing, production and characterization of Viral Vectors. Experience of AAV vectors is an advantage as this is an area where they are focusing as is some industry experience.
