Summary

Megan French is recruiting for a Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Manager to join a young VC backed biotech company based in the Surrey Research Park in Guildford. The company has developed a patented drug delivery technology which it licenses to clients and joint ventures in the skincare, pharmaceutical, and animal health sectors and it is also developing its own products, with a particular focus on cosmetic and dermatological products. With product releases and development of new products on the horizon, you would be responsible for developing the supply chain process from scratch. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to expand their career and gain extensive knowledge and experiences within an innovative and expanding company.

Company Description

The company have developed a new and innovative method of drug delivery using elemental silicon. They are able to produce it in a variety of shapes and can customise the drug carrier to carry a range of ingredients, ranging from DNA to vitamins and proteins. They are also able to alter the design of their carrier to be polypharmaceutical, allowing several different methods for administration and timed release. The company originally started in Belfast but have since branched out to England and are now opening a purpose-built facility near Cranleigh .

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous experience working in a supply chain environment. You will be responsible for developing the company’s supply chain strategies from scratch, meaning that you will be involved with everything, including: writing/authorising SOPs, calculating rolled-up lead times from delivery date requirements, working with the supply chain to minimise shipping and lead times on the products and raw materials, as well as negotiating with external suppliers and coordinating the manufacture, packaging and distribution for the products. Due to the nature of the company, the role requires a hands-on, multiskilled team worker who enjoys new challenges and a fast-paced environment. There will be significant opportunities for development and growth as the team expands.

This is a dynamic role for an ambitious individual to widen their career prospects and gain experience working with an exciting  and rapidly expanding  company.

Experience

5+ years working in a supply chain environment and experience of Inventory Management Systems is something that would be required for the role. Hands on experience within a supply chain, as well as potential management exposure would be advantageous for when you start to grow your team. Experience writing SOP’s, and knowledge of GMP/GLP policies is desirable.

This is a permanent position.
