Summary
Based in the Edinburgh area at Bathgate, a new Team Leader position has become available due to the expansion of a pharmaceutical packaging and distribution site. You will be responsible for leading a small team in one of the fully GMP-regulated warehouse storage and despatch areas. The roles offer varied work, combining day-to-day team leadership and scheduling with some hands-on involvement in the shop floor operations. It is also especially important that you are able to coach and train less experienced staff in correct GMP procedures. This is a permanent position, offering a highly competitive salary, annual bonus, private health cover and pension scheme. Though you may start on “day” hours, you will then work on alternating double-day shifts (7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, Monday to Friday).

The Role
The roles focus on the management of the team and the workflow in one of the operational areas covering storage and despatch. Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the products are receipted, stored and shipped correctly and on-time in accordance with GMP regulations and health and safety standards. This will include taking ownership of team issues, interacting with departments across the company, supporting overall departmental Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Environment (SQDCE) targets, assisting in non-conformance/deviation investigations, verifying products to documentation and utilising the Inventory Management System (IMS). As Team Leader the job holder will manage overall team attendance and performance as well as allocating work plus training and coaching team members when required.
This is a busy, challenging position which will make full use of your GMP experience, leadership abilities and coaching skills.
Experience
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader / Warehouse Supervisor with specific experience from a GMP regulated warehouse or operations environment such as production, manufacturing or packaging. This could be from the pharmaceutical, FMCG/Food or Healthcare sectors. Candidates should be used to working to deadlines while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). If you have a forklift license this would be an advantage but is by no means essential. One of the most important things is that you are able to communicate very well with people at levels, especially as you will be helping in proactively promoting GMP practices to people who may not have a great deal of previous GMP experience.
