An Analyst Scientist is required to join one of the UK’s top Pharmaceutical Companies, who are known for discovering and developing new and better ways to Treat Diseases. You will be responsible for Analysing and Testing the drugs to ensure the drugs have the correct Ingredients and chemical levels.
The role is initially a 12 month contract position, with a good chance of extension beyond this. Their lab is based in Sandwich and for a highly experienced Analyst Scientist who can fulfil all the essential criteria, there is a competitive hourly rate ranging up to £21.62 per hour depending on experience which equivalates to £32,000.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will perform routine and non routine analysis as required by the Lead Scientist
- Generate accurate and precise analytical chemistry data using laboratory techniques such as HPLC, UPLC, UV, MS or fluorescence
- Process data accurately on spreadsheets
- Identify and solve issues
- Develop assay method and perform validation
- Transfer analytical methods to other laboratories
Knowledge/Skills Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in an R&D analytical laboratory environment
- Good understanding of chromatography principles
- Knowledge to adapt methods to overcome issues
- Good understanding of LC, UV, MS, florescence techniques and benefits of each
