Role Overview:
 
As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our web applications stack, driving the development of backend solutions. You'll collaborate closely with chemists, hardware engineers, software experts, and more to craft, launch, and maintain sophisticated software systems within our cutting-edge chemistry-focused infrastructure.
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with diverse teams to grasp the company's vision and challenges.
  • Identify high-priority tasks aligned with business goals.
  • Define and validate requirements for new capabilities.
  • Develop and deploy robust software solutions.
  • Lead the implementation of innovative features.
  • Shape short and long-term technology roadmaps in collaboration with fellow engineers.
  • Offer technical support and troubleshoot software issues.
  • Play a pivotal role in designing software systems and subsystems.
  • Embrace evolving responsibilities in our transforming startup environment.
  • Fulfil other responsibilities as needed to drive the company's success.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Proficiency in Python, a must-have skill
  • Knowledge of AWS or Docker
  • Essential experience  of developing API.
  • Experience in building software which scales.
  • Testing expertise including Unit, Integration, and E2E Testing (Cypress).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • At least one year of proven experience in production-grade coding.
  • Minimum one year of collaborative work experience.
  • Exposure to scoping, designing, and building software systems, a bonus.
  • Strong work ethic with a rapid learning aptitude.
  • Interest in or experience with chemistry, advantageous.
