A Junior Finance Business Partner needed for a progressive Cell and Gene Therapy Company based in Stevenage. The use of leading technology and innovations enabled this company to provide life-changing therapies to be developed, helping thousands of people all throughout the world. This company is constantly growing and expanding, since being established in 2012 it has now grown to over 350 employees across 4 sites. 

The company is seeking a Junior Finance Business Partner whose main responsibilities will be to support the oragnisation with the project and commercial related accounting, including forecasting, reporting & analysis, as well as cost centres and timesheet management within the Skills business stream, linking in with the wider Manufacturing Centre finance team.

Due to expanding, the company is now seeking a Junior Finance Business Partner to take responsibility for the forecasting, reporting and budget monitoring of one of their new business stream. This is an exciting position with plenty of progression opportunities available as the company grows.

Key responsibilities of the Junior Finance Business Partner:

• Supporting the Lead Finance Business Partner Finance Business Partner during month end and budgeting process.
• Supporting the Finance Lead with Cost Centre & Project Managers within the Skills Business Stream, helping with cost centre & project forecasting,reporting, analysis, monitoring against budget, revenue recognition and profit/cost management.
• Supporting Line Managers in tracking cost centre spend and understanding the impact on Business Stream P&L.
• Month end duties, including: preparing and posting journals; balance sheet reconciliations, updating finance models.
• Calculation and raising of invoices with clear audit trail aligning to financial aspect of contracts.
• Ensure robust financial controls are in place, including debtor management, and checking all purchasing is in line with company policy and procedure.
• Set-up new suppliers in the ERP system where necessary
• Convert purchase requests to purchase orders when required.
• Providing resource cover for other Finance team members where necessary.
• Other ad-hoc duties as required to support the Finance team assigned.
 
Experience needed for the Junior Finance Business Partner:

• Experience of month end processes
• Control and Process experience
• Project accounting experience.
• SAP Business by Design experience is desirable.
• Currently working, or have recently worked, within life science/therapeutic organisations would be desirable.
• Experience in a grant-funded organisation is desirable
