A Marketing Manager is required to join a fantastic Cell & Gene Therapy company based in central London. They work with partners in academia and industry to ensure these life-changing therapies can be developed for use in health services throughout the world. The purpose of the Marketing Manager will be to support the business in demonstrating their strength as the UK’s globally leading position in the development, delivery and commercialisation of cell and gene therapies.
 
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, monitoring and continuously refining the strategy, messaging and campaign for our technology innovation, clinical adoption, manufacturing and skills development programs. This candidate will have line management responsibilities and will be involved with high visibility and high impact projects that receive strong government and industry attention. This role will help drive the business forward to ensure continuous visibility and backing by academia, industry and Government through the development of meaningful, engaging and relevant campaigns and content.
 
The Marketing Manager will be someone who can plan, manage, and deliver on impactful campaigns that are aligned to needs of academics, SMEs and the NHS and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Brilliant communication, organisational and people skills are a must for this motivated individual who wants to be part of shaping the UK cell and gene therapy industry. The successful candidate will have exceptional project management skills, be able to work efficiently in a high pace environment, across multiple projects and teams, and convene information in a simple, creative yet impactful way to different audiences.
 
Key responsibilities of the Marketing Manager:
  • Lead the development and execution of innovative impactful strategies and tactics (marketing campaigns, programs) across their manufacturing and clinical adoption initiatives including their Advanced Therapy Treatment Centres (ATTC) network, skills development programs, technology and innovation activities as well as all activities ongoing at their sites.
  • Plan, deliver and monitor impactful campaigns across different marketing mix channels targeting industry and NHS.
  • Have line management responsibilities.
  • Develop presentations to support senior management and business development team.
  • Ensure message alignment across platforms and materials and targeted messaging to stakeholders including government, industry, academia and NHS.
  • Ensure consistency in branding in marketing and communications materials.
  • Ensure business development and skills team are provided with appropriate support and training material.
  • Manage presence at events ensuring messaging and branding alignment and impact monitoring.
  • Work across multiple teams to ensure content accuracy.
  • Assisting with the collation of information for promotional literature.
  • Maintaining up-to-date material and information for business development team.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the marketing and communications team to ensure channel optimization and campaign alignment.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant market dynamics.
 
Experience required to be the successful Marketing Manager:
  • A degree in a biological science is essential.
  • Proven experience in the development and execution of marketing campaigns.
  • Skilled in creating scientific and impact driven presentations.
  • Proven effective project management skills.
  • Proven marketing and communications campaign management.
  • Demonstratable experience of tailoring messaging to different stakeholders.
  • Proven experience of working in fast-paced environment.
  • A minimum of 8 years proven experience in a similar role within biotech or healthcare industry (preferably cell and gene therapy)
  • Line management experience preferable but not essential.
  • Desire to establish a high-profile career within cell and gene sector and the personal drive to help push the sector to be a commercial success.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical planning and successful execution.
  • Ability to analyse data and provide insights.
  • Computer proficient with Microsoft Office (Adobe InDesign and Adobe PhotoShop and advantage).
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately, with limited supervision, takes initiative when required.
