Do you have adegree and some experience in project management, gained in a fast-paced, professional services environment?

We have four brand-new vacancies for experienced Project Managers / Associate Project Managers who would relish the opportunity to develop their career within the fast-paced, rewarding and technical Pharmaceutical sector. Based on the outskirts of Horsham, West Sussex, you will join an industry-leading organisation which offers fantastic opportunities for client-facing individuals.

Candidates will be considered at both Project Manager and Associate Project Manager level. Previous experience in Pharmaceuticals / Clinical Trials is not essential (though it would be helpful). You will oversee projects relating to the packaging of drugs that are being sent around the world for clinical trials, so experience of working with Packaging, ortechnical documentation, would be an advantage.

These are permanent positions, on site in Horsham, offering an excellent salary and benefits package. More experienced Project Managers can expect to earn up to £40,000. Salaries for relatively less experienced Associate Project Managers can be discussed on application.

The role is home – based with occasional visits to site (e.g.: client visits etc.)

The Role:

Acting as the client’s point of contact and project owner, this role entails the management of critical, often complex, and highly regulated packaging projects that can incorporate design coordination, materials specification, packaging operations, labeling operations and tracking technology for ambient and temperature-controlled shipments.

You will devise and agree project specifications, then manage and coordinate the project execution through to successful delivery which will be on time, within budget and to specification. This involves substantial communication and coordination between the client, the operational departments and third-party service providers, with you at the centre. Projects are typically global in reach and scope and can have a 3 to 5 years duration, so initial planning and implementation is critical.

This is a fast-paced environment that requires excellent client-focused communication skills coupled with the ability to act on initiative and prioritize. Full training will be provided in the company’s services and the pharmaceutical industry sector, following an assessment of your specific training needs.

Benefits

In addition to a competitive salary the benefits package includes a contributory pension scheme, annual bonus scheme, private health cover, life assurance, on-site secure parking and most importantly full training based on experience and needs.

This is a rare opportunity to join one of the largest, most successful and secure industry sectors in the world where skills are highly in demand.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Degree education, preferably in a health-related field (or if not then in project management, business or similar)

  • Strong background in project management (or similar) within a fast-paced, professional environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners

  • Great organisation skills, backed with proficiency in the use of different software packages (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access and Powerpoint)

Full details will be provided on application.
