A Technical Services Operator is needed for a progressive cell and gene therapy company based in Stevenage. The use of leading technology and innovations has enabled this company to provide life-changing therapies to be developed, helping thousands of people all throughout the world.
Out client is seeking a Technical Services Operator to join their team on a temporary basis, full time basis. The main aim of the role is to maintain high standards of the whole site.
Key Accountabilities of the Technical Services Operator:
Lead by example in undertaking operational duties.
Responsible for the collection and transfer of waste to the waste collection area ensuring there is no accumulation within the communal areas.
Oversee the service yard waste collection area and the waste collection operation to ensure all manufacturing centre waste is collected and disposed of as per contract arrangements.
Support with the ordering, distribution and re-stocking of the clean room scrubs and other overheads.
Alongside the Technical Services Supervisor and Manufacturing Warehouse and Logistics Manager, support with the transfer of consumables & materials to and from the warehouse.
Be part of the spills team and manage the MC spill kit system.
Maintain stock within the Kanban system and execute the material delivery.
Liaise with Collaborators and manufacturing centre teams to ensure resources are used efficiently & effectively.
Escalate concerns or issues to management, as appropriate, in a timely manner.
Establish and maintain positive relationships between Collaborators and manufacturing centre teams.
Identify where appropriate, system improvements within the Technical Services operation.
Personal development – Pursue a programme of continuous personal development.
Any other duty as required commensurate with the post.
Experience of the Technical Service Operator:
Proven experience working in a GMP bio/pharmaceutical Technical Services/GMP cleaning role is essential.
Proven experience of looking critically at own and others work practices and procedures and identifying and implementing any needed improvements.
Education / Qualifications:
A minimum of five GCSE’s including Maths and English or equivalent.
