Technical Sales Support Application Specialist (Pre Sales)

A global leader in laboratory informatics is seeking a Technical Sales Support Application Specialist to join its growing European Sales Team. This company provides cutting-edge Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) that help organizations in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biobanking, food & beverage, and other sectors accelerate research, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance.
As a Technical Sales Support Application Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the sales organization—bridging technical expertise with customer needs. You’ll deliver engaging product demonstrations (both remote and on-site), participate in tenders and lab audits, and help showcase how our solutions can transform laboratory operations.
You’ll act as the crucial link between Sales and Professional Services, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation, and contributing to customer success through collaboration and technical insight.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Sales team by preparing and delivering tailored product demonstrations and laboratory audits across Europe.
Contribute to tender documentation, ensuring accurate and compelling representation of product capabilities.
Collaborate with the Director of Technical Sales to develop and maintain standard demo environments.
Continuously expand your technical knowledge across technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Java, Groovy, Jasper Studio, and related tools.
Serve as a liaison between Sales and Implementation teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer events as a demonstrator or presenter.
Act as a “customer advocate” within internal product discussions to ensure client needs shape future solutions.
Support internal and external training initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Native or fluent French language skills and strong proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience showcasing high-value software solutions.
Background in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing laboratories, or laboratory informatics software.
Willingness to travel up to 20% across Europe (primarily France) for client engagements and events.
Solid technical foundation with interest or experience in software configuration, programming (JavaScript, Java), reporting, or database management.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a scientific or technical discipline.
1–3 years of experience in laboratory operations, LIMS, life sciences, or consulting preferred.
