Technical Sales Support Application Specialist (Pre Sales)

Location: Europe (Remote – within EU or UK, French-speaking preferred)

About the Role

A global leader in laboratory informatics is seeking a Technical Sales Support Application Specialist to join its growing European Sales Team. This company provides cutting-edge Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) that help organizations in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, biobanking, food & beverage, and other sectors accelerate research, improve efficiency, and ensure compliance.

As a Technical Sales Support Application Specialist, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting the sales organization—bridging technical expertise with customer needs. You’ll deliver engaging product demonstrations (both remote and on-site), participate in tenders and lab audits, and help showcase how our solutions can transform laboratory operations.

You’ll act as the crucial link between Sales and Professional Services, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-sales to implementation, and contributing to customer success through collaboration and technical insight.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Sales team by preparing and delivering tailored product demonstrations and laboratory audits across Europe.

  • Contribute to tender documentation, ensuring accurate and compelling representation of product capabilities.

  • Collaborate with the Director of Technical Sales to develop and maintain standard demo environments.

  • Continuously expand your technical knowledge across technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, Java, Groovy, Jasper Studio, and related tools.

  • Serve as a liaison between Sales and Implementation teams to ensure seamless knowledge transfer.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer events as a demonstrator or presenter.

  • Act as a “customer advocate” within internal product discussions to ensure client needs shape future solutions.

  • Support internal and external training initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

  • Native or fluent French language skills and strong proficiency in English (written and spoken).

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience showcasing high-value software solutions.

  • Background in pharmaceutical research, manufacturing laboratories, or laboratory informatics software.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% across Europe (primarily France) for client engagements and events.

  • Solid technical foundation with interest or experience in software configuration, programming (JavaScript, Java), reporting, or database management.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a scientific or technical discipline.

  • 1–3 years of experience in laboratory operations, LIMS, life sciences, or consulting preferred.

What’s Offered

  • Competitive salary and commission structure, aligned with experience and location.

  • Comprehensive benefits package.

  • Clear career development and professional growth opportunities.

A supportive, collaborative, and innovative work environment.
